If Camarines Sur is known for its thrilling activities such as Wakeboarding and Surfing, well, Camarines Norte is known for its unspoiled, turquoise water and white sand beaches. 

Calaguas is a term used to define a group of islands in the Philippines which is situated in the province of Camarines Norte. Tinaga Island and Maculabo Island are just some of the islands included in the group. These two islands really gave me an unforgettable summer vacation. Aside from letting me experience a back to basic life since there's no electricity and signal in the area, the landscape of the islands amazed me.

Snapshots: Isdaan Floating Restaurant of Calauan, Laguna

Isdaan Floating Restaurant of Laguna is not a typical restaurant that only serves food. It is a Fun-Park that is Thailand-inspired decorated with remarkable and huge statues of Buddhas, little monks and mermaids. Well there are also cartoon character statues on some part of the restaurant which makes it child-friendly as well. In short, this place is perfect for family bonding and out of town trip for the whole family.

Snapshots: Sumilon Island and its Sandbar

Sumilon Island is one of the hidden gems in Cebu that can be found on the tip of Cebu's southeastern region. It has been famous because the 24-hectare island is being surrounded by pristine water with varying aquamarine hues and not to mention because of its rich marine life. Having said that, Sumilon Island is a known site which is ideal for diving.

Sumilon is a developed island and has a resort built on it -- Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort. The resort made the island an eco-friendly sanctuary which perfect for people who wanted an escape from the busy life in the city. (But this blog entry is not going to highlight the said resort)
